Polystream’s technology enables games and 3D applications to stream interactively over the internet. We provide a managed platform where these titles are hosted and maintained for our customers. As Polystream grows, so will the number of titles and streams. To cope with this demand we need an operations team to run this platform
This role will be responsible for the testing and on-boarding of games to confirm that they work with our streaming technology. You will be working with the engineering team to evolve the service and ensure that any new platform releases are compatible with existing games. Day-to-day, this role will support the partner manager and will quickly become an expert in how to set up and run new games.
This is an exciting opportunity at the forefront of games streaming. You don’t need to have a background in gaming, but if you enjoying frag’ing the occasional zombie or disappearing into an online game, you’ll be in your element. You’ll need to be comfortable operating a platform at scale and managing the daily operations that come with this. You should be familiar with how to configure Microsoft Windows and be comfortable with scripting, batch files and tweaking JSON.
Part of the role will also involve playing games and adjusting the settings to get the best performance. You’ll also need to keep an eye out for game updates and patches, making sure that the games are always available and ready to play. You’ll work as part of the product team to help create the long-term road map for the streaming platform and shape the capabilities we need to build.
-Experience configuring games and/or 3D applications and assessing the quality of the experience
-Some experience with SaaS platforms and managing assets in a live service would be a plus
-Defining, building and testing configuration changes and judging the quality of the results
-An ability to take accountability for leading a project, seeing it through from initial pre-sales activity through set-up, live campaign and close out
-Reporting and analysis experience reviewing, judging and reporting on performance and quality of experience
-Good knowledge of operations management
-Experience using databases, dashboards and project management tools
