Technical Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Guildford Surrey UK

As Polystream’s Technical  Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be mentoring and nurturing a small new team using all your experience from previous DevOps or SRE roles. As a technical lead, you will have one eye on the big company picture and the other on the needs of your team, having a natural appreciation for developing and identifying talent both internally and externally.

Being constantly on the bleeding edge of Deep Tech means finding the answers from within, as not many people on stack overflow can help you(trust us, we’ve tried!). Communicating your ideas and solutions through software and the documentation of software sometimes isn’t enough, as you’ll be strategizing with non-technical people along with VP’s and C Level executives, so having a natural interpersonal touch will be key to your success at Polystream.

Naturally, all this will make you a key contributor to the delivery, maintenance, and operation of the platform, more specifically the; infrastructure, services, and tools required to deliver a highly available, highly scalable, distributed cloud streaming solution that millions will use across the world. Bring your experience and knowledge around operating a globally distributed, “always on” service platform and be an advocate of best practices in areas such as service monitoring, DevOps, CI/CD, and quality assurance in a fast-paced, highly agile platform engineering team.
